if you rode a world cup track you would probably find yoursely sitting on the seat for a few seconds on the flatter smoother bits of track- that's why sam hill, one of the most successful riders ever, used to strap a piece of tire to his seat and now has a seat with tread on it already.......there is a point to this product, if you're often riding long tracks and the weather is shite
